Thunder Road

We went to Thunder Road in Fargo for the first time.  Megan, Kora, and I played mini golf and then Kora rode on the little merry-go-round.

Fun day in Bemidji

Jason had a soccer game in Bemidji on Saturday, and while we were there we stopped at some of the attractions in Bemidji.  We first stopped at the Paul Bunyan and Babe the Blue Ox statues.  Kora was afraid of them at first. 

 

 

 

Then we watched Jason play soccer and his team won.

 

Next we went to Paul Bunyan Animal Land where they got to feed deer.

Random fun pics of Kora

Here are a couple funny pictures of Kora from the last week.  Megan and Jason like to hang upside down on the bars on our swing set, usually by their legs without using their hands.  Kora has been working on a way that she can also hang upside down. 

That is a crib mattress on the ground in the background.  Megan and Jason thought it

would be fun to jump from the slide and swing onto Kora's old crib mattress.   

 

Kora is enjoying corn on the cob for the first time.  We used to cut it off for her,

but she said she wanted "big corn" this time.

Science Museum

Megan and Jason had a class field trip to a Science Museum this past week, and I went along as a chaperone.  They had a lot of fun.  Jason's favorite part was the snakes.  Megan liked the telegraph machine and giant bubble maker the most.  They also got to see a live owl and hawk up close during a raptor presentation.  Jason also held a tarantula.

but Jason talked her into it.  She only held it once.

New Bed

Kora moved out of her crib into a regular bed this weekend.  She has been excited to sleep in her "Dora" bed,  but it has taken her a lot longer to fall asleep than normal.  She does stay in her bed, but she will sit and play for awhile.  We were worried about Kora falling out of bed, because she moves all over when she sleeps as you can see in the picture below.  We made a barrier of blankets at the end of the railing, so she hasn't fallen out yet.

Kora still likes to suck her thumb a lot.  She was telling us that the right thumb that she sucks is yummy and the other thumb was yucky.  Then she would put her right thumb in her mouth and say "mmm, good."  I'm afraid it may be a long time before she stops sucking that thumb.   

 

Kora has been without her glasses for almost two weeks.  She was being silly one day in the car and put the glasses in her mouth and bent one of the nose pieces.  It eventually broke, so we had to order her new ones, which should be in soon.



Tank

Here is the newest member of our family, our new black lab puppy.  We had a hard time coming up with a name that we all liked.  We decided on "Tank" because he has such big feet and will probably be a big dog.  As you'll see with Megan, he likes to cuddle.  Megan also likes to dress him up by adding a yarn collar.

wanted to include the new puppy, but I stopped her before

she got him with it.

Easter Egg Hunts

The kids got to do two Easter egg hunts again this year, one at each Grandparents.  This was Kora's first time she really got to look for eggs since last Easter she wasn't walking completely on her own yet.  Kora had a good time and did a good job finding the eggs without a lot of help.  Afterwards, she kept asking if we could go outside again for an egg hunt.
